Late 1940s Lockola Lapsteel by Magnatone

The 1940s Lockola lap steel is a pretty interesting little piece of American electric-guitar history. The important thing is that Lockola was one of the names associated with instruments made by the Dickerson/Magnatone operation, rather than being a completely separate major manufacturer.Thinking about this being a late 40's solid body instrument with a 'pickup' it's almost an early 'electric guitar'.
This one travels in a very old case with a lot of character.
